International Desk: The Israeli rampage in the Palestinian Gaza Strip is not stopping. Turkish news agency Anadolu reported on Friday (May 30), citing the Gaza Health Ministry, that 60 more Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks in the past 24 hours.

At least 60 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in the past 24 hours by Israeli strikes, the Gaza Ministry of Health said in a press briefing on Friday. 280 people were injured.

According to the information from the Ministry of Health, the number of dead in Palestine has increased to 36,284 since October 7 of last year. In addition, another 82 thousand 57 people were injured at this time.

Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the streets, the health ministry said in a statement. Because rescuers cannot reach them.

It should be noted that on October 7 last year, the Palestinian independence organization Hamas attacked Israel. The Israeli authorities claim that in this attack, about 1,200 people were killed and more than two hundred Israelis were taken hostage by Hamas fighters in Gaza. In response, the Israeli army launched airstrikes and ground operations in Gaza on the same day. Even after seven months, the attack continues.

According to the United Nations, 85 percent of the territory’s residents have been internally displaced amid acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine since the Israeli occupation of Gaza. Also, 60 percent of the region’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.

The United Nations also says that the Palestinians are living in a humanitarian crisis due to the long-term conflict. In addition, due to a lack of food, water, medicine, and essential humanitarian assistance, more than 2.3 lakh residents of the valley are suffering from extreme hunger and severe malnutrition.

Israel’s National Security Council chief says at least seven more months of fighting may be needed to achieve the goal of eliminating Hamas.
