Dhaka Bureau: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu to strictly supervise the market. He gave this order in an unscheduled discussion at the cabinet meeting held on Monday (May 20).
A cabinet meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s office on Monday morning. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting. Later in the afternoon, the Cabinet Secretary announced the decision of the meeting in a press conference at the Secretariat. Mahbub Hossain.
He said, ‘Today there were two issues beyond the scheduled issues. Among them, the Prime Minister today strictly told the Minister of State for Commerce that market monitoring should be done vigorously. The supply in the market should be right.
In this regard, the Cabinet Secretary also said that despite the lack of supply problems for some products, a trend of price increases has been seen. That is why the Prime Minister directed the Minister of State for Commerce to start strict market monitoring.
