Sports Desk: The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced the T20 World Cup team. There are no surprises in the squad announced by Chief Selector Gazi Ashraf Hossain’s selection committee at the Mirpur Sherebangla Stadium. Taskin Ahmed, who is injured, is in the team; he is the vice captain of the Bangladesh team in the World Cup. Captain, as usual, Nazmul Hossain.
Pace bowling all-rounder Saifuddin is not in the 15-member squad. Pacer Hasan Mahmud and all-rounder Afif Hossain have been taken into the team as reserves.
Tanveer Islam, Zaker Ali, Rishad Hossain, Tanjim Hasan, and Tanjid Hasan are in the T20 World Cup squad for the first time. In 2021, Mahmudullah returned to the T20 World Cup team again.
Before the World Cup, the Bangladesh team will play a three-match preparatory T20 series against the United States. The two reserves in the World Cup squad will be in the squad for the series against the USA.
Bangladesh matches the USA in Houston, USA, on May 21st, 23rd, and 25th. All matches are at 9 p.m. Bangladesh time.
