International Desk: Pakistan’s influential religious politician Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that India is moving towards becoming a superpower and Pakistan is begging to avoid bankruptcy. Jamiat-Ulema-e-Islam head Fazlur Rahman said this in a speech given to the country’s parliament on Monday.
Pakistan’s opposition leader, Fazlur, cited the example of India while publishing a picture of Pakistan’s plight. According to him, India is moving towards becoming a superpower every day. But neighboring countries are gradually going bankrupt.
Fazlur Rahman said that India and Pakistan gained independence together in August 1947. But today, India dreams of becoming a world superpower. On the other hand, we are begging everyone to avoid bankruptcy. Who is responsible for this predicament? Not only the country’s economy, he was also accused of rigging Pakistan’s elections. Fazlur Rahman claims that the current government has sold the country’s democracy.
He said it is the constitutional right of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold protest rallies. He urged the ruling coalition Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to give them a chance to form the government if the PTI is the majority party in parliament.
