International Desk: In the race for US presidential candidate, Donald Trump easily defeated Nikki Haley in the race for the Republican nomination in the state of South Carolina. Harlene Haley is close to Trump despite being a South Carolina native and two-term governor. Reuters reported this news about the Edison Research Project.

Former US President Donald Trump received more than half of the total votes in South Carolina, 59.7 percent. On the other hand, Nikki Haley received 39.7 percent of the vote.

Trump took a step closer to a third consecutive presidential nomination with Saturday’s victory. He will run again against Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. Trump lost to Haley in her home state, despite a mountain of criminal charges.

However, Haley said after the loss that she would not give up. “We have to beat Joe Biden in November,” he told supporters in Charleston, South Carolina. And I don’t believe Donald Trump can beat Joe Biden.

“I’ve never seen the Republican Party so united,” Trump told supporters in the South Carolina capital of Columbia, minutes after voting closed at 7 p.m. local time. He didn’t mention Haley by name once in nearly 30 minutes of remarks.
