Own Correspondent: The police have recovered the body of a housewife in the Barakal Kanaimadari bara-yar neighborhood of Chandanish upazila in Chittagong. On Sunday (January 28) morning, the body of housewife Ananya Barua (23) was recovered and sent to the morgue for a postmortem.
The police recovered the body of Ananya Barua, wife of Russell Barua (35), the second son of Sukumar Barua of Chittagong Chandnaish Barkal Kanaimadari Barua neighborhood, from the kitchen. The family claims that Ananya committed suicide by twisting a towel against the beam of the house due to a family dispute. On the other hand, Ananya Barua’s father, Biplab Barua, alleged that he killed his daughter and tried to call it suicide by hanging her.
After receiving the news, the SI of the Chandanish police station said: Ikhtiar Hossain arrived at the spot, recovered the body of the deceased, and prepared a report. When the body was brought to the police station, Ananya Barua’s father, Biplab Barua, filed a complaint with the Chandnaish police station, mentioning the names of three people, including her husband, said OC (Investigation) Jujuts Yas Chakma. He said that after receiving the news in the morning, the police arrived at the spot and, after recovering the body, made a suicide. After receiving Biplab Barua’s complaint, the body was sent to the morgue for a post-mortem. The investigation into the allegations is ongoing.
It is to be noted that Sukumar Barua, second son of Chandanish Kanaimadari Barua Para, married Russell Barua and Ananya Barua, daughter of Biplab Barua of Patia Kolagaon, in June 2017. It is known that their 6-year-old son, Tatan Barua, is currently studying in the first grade. Russell works for a private company in Barua City. Her mother-in-law lives at home. Her husband leaves for work in the morning and comes at night. Locals said that there is often a fight between the two due to family feuds. Whether the issue is suicide or murder will come up in the police investigation.
