International Desk: There was an attack on a police patrol in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Wednesday (November 15). At least six people were killed. Officials of the country have confirmed this information. Khabar Geo News, Dawn.
According to reports, two men on a motorcycle opened fire on the police in Lakki Marwat district of the province on Wednesday morning. A sub-inspector of police and the driver of the patrol car were also killed in the attack.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan described the incident as “extremely unfortunate” in a statement. Also, he expressed deep ‘condolence’ to the families of the victims and said that the martyrs’ sacrifice will not go in vain.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also strongly condemned the incident. In a statement, he said, terrorists are enemies of Pakistan and all possible steps will be taken to protect the country.
As reported by Dawn, violence has started to rise again in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Local residents continue to protest one after another in the province demanding the restoration of peace.
