International Desk: Severe floods have occurred in Queensland, Australia, due to record rainfall. An airport in the province has been inundated by floodwaters.

Even crocodiles have been seen roaming the streets of the flooded city. Considering the situation, thousands of people have been evacuated. BBC news.

Record rainfall is causing widespread flooding in the far north of Queensland, Australia. Authorities believe this is the worst flood in this region of Australia.

Thousands of people have been evacuated to safe places. However, many people are still trapped in the water.

Planes at Cairns Airport have been submerged, a crocodile has been spotted in the middle of the city, and people are fleeing their homes by boat.

But no deaths or missing people have been reported so far, with a 10-year-old girl injured and reported to be in critical condition after lightning struck Cairns last Saturday.

Heavy rain is expected to continue for another 24 hours. Hundreds of people have been rescued in this situation. Many homes have been inundated by floodwaters, power and roads have been cut, and safe food and drink are running out in many areas.

Queensland Premier Steven Miles told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, ‘This is the worst natural disaster (compared to the past) I can think of’.

“I’ve been talking to locals in Cairns, and they say they’ve never seen a flood like this before,” he said.
