Dhaka Bureau: Amy Pope, Director General of the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM), paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
On Tuesday morning (May 7), he visited Ganabhaban, the official residence of the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister’s Press Wing confirmed this information.

It is known that the heads of various United Nations organizations will visit Dhaka on the occasion of 50 years of relations. The visit begins with IOM Director General Amy Pope.
According to sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, IOM Director General will visit Bangladesh from May 5–9.
Earlier in 2017, the then Director General of the International Organization for Migration, William Lacy Swing, visited Bangladesh.
