International Desk:<\/strong> Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, spoke on the phone with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. He reiterated his support for Palestine and stood by the Palestinian people in the ongoing conflict. BBC news.<\/p>\n

In the phone call, they discussed the military escalation in and around Gaza, the lives of civilians, and the deteriorating situation that threatens the security and stability of the region, Arab News reported.<\/p>\n

Bin Salman said his country will always stand by the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate rights, their hopes and aspirations, and a just and lasting peace. He also assured that he is working with all international and regional parties to stop the conflict.<\/p>\n

President Abbas and Hamas, which controls Gaza, are political rivals. Abbas heads the Fatah movement that controls the West Bank. He is also the head of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).<\/p>\n

But Saudi Arabia’s support for the Palestinians is significant. Because trilateral talks between Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the United States were recently underway to normalize relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv,<\/p>\n
