Apart from this, 100% of the work of laying the railway line from Dohazari to Cox&#8217;s Bazar is also being completed today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Project Director Mohammad Mofizur Rahman told the media that only 100 meters of work was left on the Satkania section of the Dohazari-Cox&#8217;s Bazar 101 km railway line. That too will be over by Sunday midnight or Monday afternoon. That is, the Dohazari-Cox&#8217;s Bazar 101-km railway line will be fully visible by Monday. He said, I have learned that the Prime Minister will inaugurate the much-awaited railway line on November 12. But before that, we will run a few test trains on this route and see if there are any errors anywhere. He said that the train was running at a speed of 80 km from Cox&#8217;s Bazar to Chakria yesterday as part of the trial run.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Stating that the overall progress of the project is 90 percent so far, the project director said that the work on the iconic railway station under construction in Cox&#8217;s Bazar will be completed this month. Now the work of laying tiles on the floor is going on. After that, the rest of the work, including the installation of furniture, will be completed quickly. Besides, work on other stations and roads will be completed in a few months.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Patia Railway Station Master Nezam Uddin said that the renovation work of the Kalurghat Bridge on the Karnaphuli River has started since August 1. Earlier, six new coaches and one 2000 series engine were brought and kept at Patia station. 60 passengers can sit in each of these modern coaches brought from Korea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">It is to be noted that on April 3, 2011, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina laid the foundation stone for the meter-gauge railway construction up to Dohazari-Ramu-Cox&#8217;s Bazar. The construction of a dual-gauge and single-track railway project started in 2018, almost seven years after the inauguration by the Prime Minister. Initially, the project cost was estimated at 1 thousand 852 crores. In 2016, after revising the project proposal, the cost increased to 18 thousand, 34 crore, and 47 lakh taka. It was financed by the Asian Development Bank and the government of Bangladesh.
