{"id":9196,"date":"2023-09-25T01:25:15","date_gmt":"2023-09-25T01:25:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/?p=9196"},"modified":"2023-09-25T01:25:15","modified_gmt":"2023-09-25T01:25:15","slug":"non-students-are-ordered-to-leave-the-residential-hall-of-cu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/news\/9196\/","title":{"rendered":"Non-students are ordered to leave the residential hall of CU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>CU Correspondent:<\/strong> Chittagong University authorities have ordered the students whose academic careers have ended and those who have been expelled for various anti-disciplinary activities to leave the residential halls by 6 p.m. on Monday (September 25).<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This information was informed in an office order signed by Acting Registrar KM Noor Ahmad from the office of CHBI Registrar on Sunday (September 24) evening.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It is said that if anyone is found after this period, legal action will be taken against him.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Meanwhile, the Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ) strongly condemned and protested the attack on journalist Musharraf Shah at Chittagong University.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The leaders of the organization demanded the quick arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved in the attack.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In a statement, CUJ President Tapan Chakraborty and General Secretary Mr.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Shamsul Islam said that while performing his professional duties on Sunday morning, some unruly members of the Chhatra League attacked Musharraf Shah, representative of Daily Prothom Alo Chittagong University.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Musharraf was seriously injured in the attack and was admitted to the hospital.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The leaders said, We are noticing that there have been incidents of attacks on journalists at Chittagong University before.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This is hampering independent journalism in universities, and journalists are suffering from insecurity.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The assailants are repeatedly getting away with the indifference of the university administration and police administration and are again showing the arrogance of attacking journalists.
