Some attempt is made to repay this debt by showing extreme devotion and service. In old age, many helpless parents have to spend their days in agony due to the neglect of their children. Many are found sheltering in old age homes or living an extremely inhumane life of neglect and neglect. Holy Islam has placed birth parents after the Creator and the Holy Prophet (S). The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, the child&#8217;s heaven is under the mother&#8217;s feet. It is mentioned in the hadith, if the parents are weak, old and dependent on the help of the child, then giving them companionship and nursing in this situation is better than a good deed like Hijrah.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mentioned 4 ways to treat parents well even after their death. Namely: (a) Praying for them and seeking forgiveness (b) Fulfilling their promises (c) Showing respect to their friends and intimates and (d) The relations of kinship established through them (i.e. uncles, Good relations with relatives like cousins, uncles, aunts) to keep it intact.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Disobedient behavior of parents is the most serious sin in Islam, which is equivalent to disobeying the command of Allah Ta&#8217;ala. Treating parents best, talking with politeness, respect and kindness. They should never be treated with disrespectful or offensive words. Indeed, no one can be more unfortunate than those who cannot go to Paradise despite having the opportunity to serve their parents. The story of Hazrat Bayezid Bostami (RA) and Ishwarchandra Vidya Sagar&#8217;s devotion to their mother when they were children is on everyone&#8217;s lips.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Respect and dignity of parents is paramount in every religion, Hindu pilgrimage site has a temple in Kashi, India, on the banks of river Ganges. It is said that a child built the temple and proudly said, I have paid off the debt of my parents. Immediately the temple fell towards the river Ganges. I have heard from an eyewitness respected advocate Sunil Kumar Sarkar that the temple is still in the same condition. The sage Swami Vivekananda said, &#8220;Blessed are the children who are able to see their parents as manifestations of God.&#8221; Parents raise their children by enduring hardships, hardships and sorrows. He cares for the child&#8217;s all-time well-being by sacrificing his own comfort and wealth. The negative behavior of the child towards the parents cannot be condoned in any way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Living habits have changed in every family serving parents. Gradually people are getting used to living independently. The long-standing joint family is falling apart day by day. Children are forgetting the love of parents. Law No. 49 of 2013 or Parental Maintenance Act has been enacted to alleviate the suffering of parents who are neglected due to child neglect and their rights are legally recognized. In this law, it is the moral and legal responsibility of the child to support the parents, grandparents and grandparents. Otherwise, they have been punished. This is highlighted below.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Parents are life&#8217;s precious resource. But nowadays old age homes have become shelters for old parents. In view of many such incidents, the National Parliament passed the Parental Maintenance Act on 27 October 2013, which was later made mandatory. The Act enacted by Parliament to ensure parental maintenance is currently in force. In this law, father means the father of the child and mother means the pregnant woman of the child. And a child means a son or daughter who is capable and able to be born in the womb of the father and in the womb of the mother.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this Act, maintenance means food, clothing, medical and living facilities and companionship. According to the provisions of Section 3 of the Act, every child has to ensure the maintenance of his parents. However, in the case of multiple children, the children will ensure the maintenance of their parents through negotiation among themselves. According to the provisions of sub-section 3, in this case, every child must ensure that both parents live at the same place. In this case, no child shall force his parents to live together or separately in any nursing home or elsewhere against their will. Every child shall regularly inquire about the health of his father and mother and shall provide necessary medical care and attention. If for good reason the child must live separately from the parent or both, each child must see him or her regularly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In cases where either parent lives separately without living with the child, each shall pay a reasonable amount out of their daily\/monthly\/yearly income. Maintenance of Grandparents, Grandparents: According to the provisions of Section 4 of the said Act, every child shall be obliged to provide maintenance to the grandparents in the absence of the father and to the grandparents in the absence of the mother in accordance with the provisions of Section 3, just like the parents. This maintenance will be treated as parental maintenance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Section 5 (1) of the Parental Maintenance Act 2013, if an elder makes any such complaint against his children and if the complaint is proved, they are liable to imprisonment for three months without payment of a fine of one lakh rupees. According to Article 6, the Parental Maintenance Act is cognizable. Bailable and compoundable. Offenses under this Act are triable in the Courts of Judicial Magistrates of 1st Class or Metropolitan Magistrates. The court will not take cognizance of the offense under the said clause unless written complaint is filed by the parent of the child. The court may send the complaint received under the provisions of Section 8 to the concerned UP Chairman or Member, Mayor or Councilor of the City Corporation or Municipality or any other appropriate person for settlement. The complaint sent for conciliation settlement shall be settled by conciliation by the person entrusted by the court giving an opportunity of hearing to both the parties and such settlement shall be deemed to be settled by the court.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Penalty for non-maintenance of parents or peace and as per the provisions of Section 5 of this Act, if any child violates the provisions of Sections 3 and 4 of the said Act, it shall be considered an offense and shall be liable to a fine of Rs. will be punished with imprisonment. If any child&#8217;s wife or husband or their sons and daughters (grandchildren) or any other close relative obstructs the payment of maintenance to parents or grandparents or grand-grandparents, non-cooperation or incitement to non-cooperation shall also be punished with the said penalty. . People in their sixties are called senior citizens.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On November 27, 2014, President Abdul Hamid declared 1.3 million senior citizens as senior citizens on World Senior Citizens Day. Finally, it is not possible to prevent the crime of inhumane behavior and irresponsibility of children towards parents only by law. For this reason, it is necessary to awaken religious feelings, thoughts of death, fear of the last judgment, conscience and humanity. Especially in this case measures can be taken to awaken family values \u200b\u200bwhich are prevalent in our society but declining. Those who do not fulfill proper responsibilities towards parents. They can also be socially boycotted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In dramas, movies, songs, novels, against the life stories of fatherless husbands and wives, presenting a responsible role in creating a society that is responsible towards parents will be helpful in eradicating this crime. Special laws can also be enacted to honor senior citizens in our country like in the developed world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Let each of us contribute to building a beautiful family and society by showing all possible empathy, love and responsibility towards our respective parents and their present grandparents. It can be said for sure that our children will also be responsible towards us. The law needs to be amended and modernized to protect the dignity, respect and safety of senior citizens.
