{"id":9056,"date":"2023-09-18T04:23:35","date_gmt":"2023-09-18T04:23:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/?p=9056"},"modified":"2023-09-18T04:24:23","modified_gmt":"2023-09-18T04:24:23","slug":"buses-will-run-on-the-elevated-expressway-starting-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/news\/9056\/","title":{"rendered":"Buses will run on the elevated expressway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Dhaka Bureau:<\/strong> Buses will run on the Dhaka Elevated Expressway starting today.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Initially, this bus service of BRTC will run from Uttara to Farmgate&#8217;s Khamarbari with 8 buses.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The chairman of the organization said that the current fare will be taken on this route.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This service will be inaugurated from Manik Mia Avenue on Monday (September 18) at 11 a.m. <\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">BRTC buses will run on the elevated expressway much like a&#8217;shuttle&#8217; service.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">That is, only on the runway.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Buses will depart from Farmgate Palm Gardens.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">After that, it will return to the Khajur Bagan area via the Uttara Jasimuddin Road via the flyover.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In this way, the buses will run all day from 7 a.m. <\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">BRTC buses will be available till night as long as passengers are available.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Fares on this route are also set to be affordable.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The fare for 15 km from Palm Garden to the airport is Tk 35.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">And the fare for 17 km up to Jasimuddin has been fixed at Tk 40.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The fare is 2 taka 45 paisa per kilometer.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Due to the e-ticketing system, there will be no opportunity to overcharge.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">BRTC has said it will increase the number of buses later based on passenger demand.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dhaka Bureau: Buses will run on the Dhaka Elevated Expressway starting today.
