{"id":9020,"date":"2023-09-17T05:07:57","date_gmt":"2023-09-17T05:07:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/?p=9020"},"modified":"2023-09-17T05:07:57","modified_gmt":"2023-09-17T05:07:57","slug":"i-returned-home-after-25-years-of-disappearance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/news\/9020\/","title":{"rendered":"I returned home after 25 years of disappearance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Kurigram representative:<\/strong> Two brothers were lost exactly 25 years ago today.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Then on Saturday (September 16) morning, he returned home to Gopalpur North Sarkatari village of Santoshpur union of Nageshwari upazila of Kurigram.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Maidul Islam (30).<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">But elder brother Matiar Rahman (35) is still missing.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The whole family is happy to have Maidul Islam back.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It has been found that the two sons of Abdus Samad and Banesha Begum of Gopalpur, North Sarkatari village, are Maidul Islam and Motiar Rahman.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">When they were five to seven years old, their parents separated due to family conflicts.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Later, he married Banesha Begum elsewhere.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">He came first to Rangpur with Maidul and Matiar, then to Gaibandha, and later to Dhaka.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Although Banesha Begum married her second husband in Dhaka, her two sons lived in other people&#8217;s homes.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Within a few days, these two brothers were thrown out of the house on the charge of theft.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Since then, they have disappeared.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">After much searching, the mother gave up hope of finding her son.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">But the father&#8217;s family did not give up hope.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">At one stage of many searches, the family found Maidul Islam in an event called &#8216;Apan Adresha&#8217; through social media.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">However, the elder brother, Matiar Rahman, is still not found.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Abdus Samad, the father of Maidul Islam and Matiar Rahman, hopes that one day he will find his eldest son too.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kurigram representative: Two brothers were lost exactly 25 years ago today.
