{"id":8922,"date":"2023-09-10T04:33:52","date_gmt":"2023-09-10T04:33:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/?p=8922"},"modified":"2023-09-10T04:33:52","modified_gmt":"2023-09-10T04:33:52","slug":"the-chhatra-league-worker-was-arrested-with-a-firearm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/news\/8922\/","title":{"rendered":"The Chhatra League worker was arrested with a firearm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>The Crime Desk:<\/strong> Sadar Thana police arrested Shaheen, a former activist of the Chhatra League, from Magura with a firearm.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Shaheen is the son of Lutfar Rahman of Stadium Para in Magura city and the former organizing secretary of Magura Adarsh College Chhatra League.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">He was arrested at the Alodia Navaganga Bridge in Magura Sadar around 10 p.m. on Saturday (September 10).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Officer-in-Charge (OC-Investigation) of Sadar Police Station Ashraful Islam said that he was arrested from the Alokdia bridge of the Nabganga river in Sadar Upazila on the basis of secret information.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Shaheen has been kept in police custody.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">He was interrogated.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">However, the firearm used by him has not been recovered (as of the writing of this report).<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">An operation will be conducted on him for this.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">A staff meeting of the volunteer party was held at the party office in the Islampur neighborhood of the city on Wednesday afternoon.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">At that time, a procession of volunteers from in front of the district judge court was passing through the party office to attend the meeting.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">On the way, the procession was attacked by the Chhatra League at Chowrangi Junction in the city.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Later, a clash broke out between the two sides.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Meanwhile, Shaheen publicly displayed the firearm.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">A video of this incident quickly went viral on social media, including Facebook.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Crime Desk: Sadar Thana police arrested Shaheen, a former activist of the Chhatra League, from Magura with a firearm.
