It is the need of the hour to decentralize all public and private services in Dhaka. Mahbubul Alam, the newly elected president of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) of businessman FBCCI, said these things at the reception organized by Chittagong Press Club at Bangabandhu Hall of Press Club on Saturday (02 September).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said that the weighing scales on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway are one of the sorrows of traders. No other highway in the country has such a weight scale. Therefore, such scale should be installed in all areas of the country or it should be removed immediately from the Dhaka-Chittagong highway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mahbubul Alam said that 6,200 businesses in Chittagong have lost 3,750 million rupees due to flooding in the past ten years. Apart from this, the amount of damage in many ways including infrastructure is huge. Therefore, our main task is to solve the waterlogging of Chittagong.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">FBCCI President said, development of Chittagong means development of Bangladesh. The prime minister has taken responsibility for this development and is implementing it. If the ongoing projects are completed, Chittagong will develop into a true commercial capital. He dedicated this achievement of being elected President of FBCCI to the people of Chittagong. Requests everyone&#8217;s cooperation in fulfilling the responsibilities assigned to him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chittagong Press Club President Salahuddin Md. General Secretary of the Press Club Devdulal Bhowmik delivered the welcome speech in the presided over by Raza.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mahbubul Alam&#8217;s biography was presented by press club publicity and publication editor Khorshedul Alam Shamim under the direction of joint editor Shahidullah Shahriar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the guest speech, the newly elected president of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) Omar Hajjaz said that Mahbubul Alam has left a mark of achievement in every field of life. Therefore, the Prime Minister and the businessmen of the country have given him due appreciation. He is an icon of the business community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Press Club President Salahuddin Md. Reza said, Mahbubul Alam is a successful person in every field of life. He created a record by serving five times as the president of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry. After 34 long years, being elected as the son of Chittagong as the country&#8217;s top business leader is another history. He is well liked by all as a modest person. Bay-terminal and deep sea port will radically change the country&#8217;s economy. We believe that Mahbubul Alam will play an important role in this regard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">General Secretary Debdulal Bhowmik said, as the president of FBCCI, Mahbubul Alam will take Chittagong forward in the path of realization of commercial capital. Under his leadership, Bangladesh will accelerate its development as a trillion dollar economy.
