{"id":8430,"date":"2023-08-19T05:52:30","date_gmt":"2023-08-19T05:52:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/?p=8430"},"modified":"2023-08-19T05:52:30","modified_gmt":"2023-08-19T05:52:30","slug":"1700-people-were-in-the-pension-scheme-on-the-first-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/news\/8430\/","title":{"rendered":"1700 people were in the pension scheme on the first day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Dhaka Bureau:<\/strong> The government has launched the universal pension program (scheme) to bring the citizens of the country under the pension system.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The registration process has been opened on Thursday, the day of the inauguration of this much-discussed pension program for everyone except government employees.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">1,700 people joined the public pension scheme on the day of its launch.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Many others have also registered.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In this context, the National Pension Authority is the implementing organization of the universal pension scheme.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Golam Mostafa said that the citizens of the country are optimistic about the pension scheme.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The account for the second day was not taken out.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">But on the first day, more than 1,700 people registered by submitting subscriptions. <\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">He said that many more people have filled out the form for registration, but the money is not being counted before depositing.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">A total of Tk 87 lakh has been paid for the subscription on the first day.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">According to the sources of the National Pension Authority of the Ministry of Finance, there is an opportunity to join this program through the website 24 hours a day and night.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Currently, four types of schemes have been introduced under the universal pension.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Among these, there is a Pravas scheme for expatriates, a Pragati scheme for private sector workers, a protection scheme for citizens engaged in the informal sector, i.e., the self-employed, and an equality scheme for low-income people.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Universal Pension Scheme Rules have already been issued to implement these programs.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">A public pension authority has been constituted.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Besides, a website called &#8216;Upension&#8217; (www.upension.gov.bd) has been inaugurated.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Anyone can join the pension program through this website.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Basic information about pension schemes is given there.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">A unique ID number will be given in favor of the applicant on application by filling out the prescribed form online.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dhaka Bureau: The government has launched the universal pension program (scheme) to bring the citizens of the country under the pension system.
