Akhtaruzzaman gave this order.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">He was also ordered to pay a fine of 50 lakh taka in addition to imprisonment.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">ACC lawyer Mir Ahmed Salam confirmed the matter.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">He said that the court acquitted Shah Alam Chowdhury, the then Secretary General of the Central Command Council of the Freedom Fighters Sangsad, as the charges were not proved.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Out of 15 witnesses in the case, 10 testified in court at various times.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">State Minister Redwan of the BNP government currently holds the post of General Secretary of the LDP, led by Oli Ahmad.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Redwan Ahmad is absconding.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The court has issued a warrant of arrest against him.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dhaka Bureau: The court has ordered the three-year imprisonment of Redwan Ahmed, former state minister for liberation war affairs, in the case of embezzlement of Tk 50 lakhs of the freedom fighter parliament.
