{"id":8178,"date":"2023-07-27T06:09:25","date_gmt":"2023-07-27T06:09:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/?p=8178"},"modified":"2023-07-27T06:09:25","modified_gmt":"2023-07-27T06:09:25","slug":"chittagong-zilla-parishad-budget-announcement-of-tk-354-crore-32-lakh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/news\/8178\/","title":{"rendered":"Chittagong Zilla Parishad budget announcement of Tk 354 crore, 32 lakh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Own Correspondent:<\/strong> Chittagong Zilla Parishad Chairman ATM Payrul Islam has announced a budget of Tk 354 crore, or 32 lakh, for the financial year 2023\u201324. <\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Development expenditure has been estimated at Rs. 125 crore in the budget.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This budget was presented at the monthly meeting of Zilla Parishad held on Wednesday (July 26) morning at the Chittagong Circuit House conference room.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">District Council Chairman ATM Payrul Islam chaired the meeting conducted by Chief Executive Officer Shabbir Iqbal.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">After a detailed discussion, the proposed budget for the financial year 2023\u201324 was unanimously accepted in the meeting.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">According to a press release of the Zilla Parishad, Chairman ATM Payrul Islam said during the budget announcement that after taking charge of the Zilla Parishad in November last year, despite working with very limited manpower, we have taken various steps to increase the income of the Zilla Parishad.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Income-generating projects are being undertaken by reclaiming illegally occupied land.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">He said that, being the chairman of the district council, he is also in charge of the district Red Crescent.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">He was appalled by the massive looting of institutions and programs run by the District Red Crescent over the years.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">A lot of time and effort have to be given to make this institution free from corruption and geared towards the public&#8217;s welfare.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">He also said that an initiative has been taken to set up a &#8216;Chittagong Heritage Corner&#8217; on the 1st floor to highlight Chittagong history, heritage, and culture in the 18-story building under construction by Chittagong Zilla Parishad, and Premier University Vice-Chancellor Dr.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Anupam Sen convened a committee of elite, talented, and learned people.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The committee met and started working through various sub-committees.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">District council executive officer Md.
