{"id":8054,"date":"2023-07-19T12:15:52","date_gmt":"2023-07-19T12:15:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/?p=8054"},"modified":"2023-07-19T12:15:52","modified_gmt":"2023-07-19T12:15:52","slug":"alleged-vandalism-at-a-up-members-residence-in-the-dark-of-night-in-satkania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/news\/8054\/","title":{"rendered":"Alleged vandalism at a UP member&#8217;s residence in the dark of night in Satkania"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Sukanth Bikash Dhar, Satkania:<\/strong> In Satkania, there were allegations of vandalism in a terrorist attack at the residence of a UP member in the dark of night due to complications in the formation of the chairman&#8217;s panel.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">However, it is reported that no one was injured in the incident.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The incident took place at Ali Chan Mia Bari, the residence of UP member Saiful Islam of Ward No. 8 of Charti Union of Upazila, on Tuesday night (July 18).<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">UP Member Saiful Chairman is alleging that the attack took place on the orders of Nurul Amin, UP Member of Ward No. 3, due to the complexity of the panel formation.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Nurul Amin denied this.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In this regard, Saiful Islam said, I and my family members woke up to the sound of banging on the main gate of the house on Tuesday late at night, around 3:30.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">When I went to the gate and asked who it was, I was introduced as the policeman from the other end.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">When the matter was immediately reported to Satkania Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Shibli Noman on his mobile phone, he confirmed that it was not the police.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">15-20 terrorists broke the doors and windows of the house, broke the lights, and tore the meter wire to open the gate.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Apart from this, the doors of the neighbors were blocked so that they could not leave the house.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">At the time of the incident, I went live on Facebook and informed my countrymen about the attack.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Saiful complained that the conflict started with UP Nurul Amin of Ward No. 3 regarding the formation of the Chairman Panel.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">As Nurul Amin could not subdue me with influential public representatives and terrorists, one incident after another is happening.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Last Thursday (July 13), the police came to my house and wanted to harass me.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Currently, I and my family are suffering from insecurity.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">I am seeking the help of the administration and my countrymen for this.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In this regard, Nurul Amin said, Saiful himself is putting the blame on me by staging an attack in his own house.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">I am an innocent person, and these false and baseless things are being said to harass me.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Satkania police station, Md. Yasir Arafat, confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the police were sent at night after hearing the news of the incident.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Legal action will be taken subject to the receipt of complaints.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It should be noted that the current chairman of Charati Union Parishad (UP) has recently <\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Due to the temporary expulsion of Ruhullah Chowdhury and the absence of the chairman panel, the union residents are facing extreme hardship in getting various services from the council.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Regarding this, Saiful Islam made an application with the signatures of most of the UP members to the Chittagong District Commissioner and UNOK regarding the formation of the Chairman Panel.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Currently, the investigation is ongoing in view of this application.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">However, Nurul Amin is systematically claiming himself as Panel Chairman 1.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sukanth Bikash Dhar, Satkania: In Satkania, there were allegations of vandalism in a terrorist attack at the residence of a UP member in the dark of night due to complications in the formation of the chairman&#8217;s panel.
