Under the initiative of Lohagara Press Club, this human chain was held at Battali Motor Station of Upazila Sadar on Saturday morning, June 10. Journalists from different walks of life working in Lohagara and nearby areas participated in the benchmarking. The standard demanded the immediate arrest of Bhand Hasan Baidya of Charamba Union of Lohagara Upazila, who is the mastermind of the incident of beating journalist Jahedul Islam and the main accused in the related case. Lohagara Press Club President Bir Muktijoddha Nurul Islam, General Secretary Abul Kalam Azad, Vice President Pushpen Chowdhury, Finance Editor Khokon Sushil, Upazila Journalist Forum General Secretary Abdul Khalek, Upazila Journalist Union President Md. Raksi Sikdar, and others spoke at the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The speakers in the human chain said that even though 10 days have passed since the beating of prominent journalist Jahedul Isla, the hypocrite has not been arrested. Bhand Hasan Vaidya was urged to be arrested immediately. Prominent columnist Mohammad Hossain, Office Secretary of Lohagara Press Club Minhaj Uddin, Sports-Literature and Cultural Editor Ataur Rahman Masud, Members Sirajul Islam, Kamal Uddin, Monir Ahmad Azad, Daily Sangu Staff Reporter Nurul Islam Sabuj, and Journalists were present in this ceremony. Mahmudul Haque Chowdhury, General Secretary of Lohagara Journalist Union Deshpriya Bara, Journalist Delwar Hossain Rashidi, ATN TV Representative Md Saiful Islam, TV Representative MAH Rabbi, TV Representative Abdul Wahab, Md Salim Uddin Khan, Md Salim, Md Shahnewaz, Haji Salim Uddin, journalists Jahangir Alam and Abbas Uddin, and other journalists After the human chain, a protest march circumambulated Lohagara Battali Motor Station.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">It is to be noted that on June 1, the organizing secretary of Lohagara Press Club, Md. Jahedul Islam, was beaten up while collecting information about fraudster and hypocrite Baidya Hasan in the East Rajghata area of Charamba Union of Lohagara Upazila. Meanwhile, the people of Bhand Vaidya took away his camera and cash. He is the Lohagara correspondent of the daily Manavkanth and Sangu newspapers. A case has been registered at Lohagara police station in connection with the beating.
