A Madrasa teacher named Rezaul Karim (19) has been arrested by the police in this incident. He was arrested last Saturday night from Bardona area of Sadar Union of the upazila.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Arrested Rezaul Sadr Union Bardona Chayed Ibrahim (R:) teacher of Hefzkhana and Ismailia Orphanage. Rezaul is the son of Mohammadul Haque of North Amirabad Jalilnagar (Naju Miar Para) area of Ward No. 3 of Amirabad Union of Lohagara Upazila.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The child&#8217;s father is a Saudi expatriate. He is admitted to One Stop Crisis Center (OCC) of Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital. When the matter came to light, the madrasa directors and teachers covered their faces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the statement of the case, the child victim of Balatkar was admitted to Bardona Chayed Ibrahim (RA) Hefzkhana and Ismailia Orphanage in Satkania Sadr Union for learning Hefz two years ago. After a few years of admission, the teacher of that madrasa Rezaul Karim had been making noise day after day in the residential room of the madrasa against the wishes of the child. If the child is afraid of being killed if he tells anyone about it, he remains silent. Many times the child was beaten if he did not agree. Last Thursday (May 25) weekend, the child went home and told the incident to his mother.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The child&#8217;s mother said that the boy came home from the madrasa and said that he was physically ill and his whole body was in pain. When asked about the cause of the pain, he remains silent at first, then when forced to tell the details of the incident. On that day (May 25) night, I filed a complaint with the police station. Later, he was first admitted to Upazila Health Complex and later to Chamek Hospital.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also said that lastly on May 21 around 1:00 p.m., the teacher Rezaul forced his son into the residential hall of the madrasa again threatening to kill him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Sunday morning, it was found that the madrasa was locked after a spot inspection in Bardona area. In this regard, Abdur Rahman of the area, Md. Several people including Ehsan and Qutb Uddin said that after the incident came to light, the director of that madrasa Belal Maulvi and the teachers fled the madrasa after giving leave to the students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They also said that the director of this madrasa, Belal Maulvi, was previously in jail in connection with Balatkar. No one wants such an incident in a holy place. They demanded exemplary punishment to the person involved in the incident.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this regard, Madrasa Director Belal Maulvi&#8217;s mobile phone was called, but his statement was not possible as the phone was switched off.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Satkania Police Station. Yasir Arafat said that after the child&#8217;s mother complained about the incident on May 25, several teams of police started operations in different places. The complaint was converted into a case on Saturday midnight.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also said that some of the relatives of the arrested Rezaul were detained and he (Rezaul) was arrested from Bardona area on Saturday night with the help of technology.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The OC also said that the arrested is the sister-in-law of Belal Maulvi, director of Rezaul Madrasa. Efforts are on to arrest Belal too.
