It has been decided to buy 7 million liters from a domestic company at a price of 183 taka per liter and 1 crore 10 liters of soybean oil from an American company at a price of 140 taka per liter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The Cabinet Committee on Government Procurement meeting on Wednesday (May 24) approved the purchase of oil and sugar. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal. After the meeting, Additional Secretary of the Cabinet Division, Syed Mahbub Khan, told the media<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">He said, in view of the proposal of the Ministry of Commerce, the purchase of 10 million liters of soybean oil from Exentual Technology Corporation (local agent OMG Limited) through the international open tender system has been approved. It will cost 129 crore, 58 lakh, and 77 thousand taka. Soybean oil will be priced at Tk 140 per liter. Besides, in view of another proposal of the Ministry of Commerce, permission has been given to buy 70 lakh liters of soybean oil locally through an open tender system. It will cost 127 crore, 85 lakh, and 50 thousand taka. The price will be 182 taka (65 paisa) per liter. This oil will be purchased from the City Edible Oil Company.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">He also said that, in view of the proposal of the Ministry of Commerce, approval has been given to buy 12 thousand 500 tons of sugar through the direct purchase method. It will cost 131 crore, or 25 lakh taka. The price of sugar per kg will be Rs. 105.
