Presence of different religions at the coronation: The King of England is officially the head of the ‘Church of England’. Apart from that, he is also considered the ‘protector of religion’. Traditionally, this ‘religion’ is Christianity. But Charles has always said he wants to be known as the ‘defender of all religions’. So Charles invited representatives of various religions and communities to the inauguration ceremony. According to Buckingham Palace sources, the event has been arranged in consultation with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Reverend Justin Welby, whose priesthood will be held.
