They are happy that the paddy yield is as expected.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Upazila Agriculture Office sources, Boro has been planted on 8 thousand 360 hectares of land in the upazila. Among them hybrid varieties Chakka, Tia, Surbhi-1, Tejguld, Hira-2, Hira-6, Ispahani-8, Syngenta 1203 and 1205, Janak Raj, Ufshi variety of Bri rice 88, 29, 74, 84, Katari variety of rice are grown in Gumaibil. has been<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It has been seen that farmers are able to harvest Boro rice due to the high cultivation of 88 varieties of Bri rice in Gumaibil. They have already started harvesting this variety of paddy in Chandraghona, Mariamnagar, Brahmottara.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mariamnagar farmer. Farid Uddin told <strong>The Crime<\/strong>, I cultivated boro rice on 60 kanis of land. Most of which is bri rice 88. I have already harvested 10 kani of paddy. Yield 1 metric ton per ear. As this paddy is thin, the market price is also high.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Uttam Kumar told <strong>The Crime<\/strong> that Boro has encouraged farmers to cultivate hybrid rice including Bri 88, 92 developed by Bri. Farmers have cultivated more of these varieties this time. Bri rice 88 variety is 7-10 days ahead of other varieties, now harvesting of this variety has started in Gumaibil.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Upazila Agriculture Officer Imrul Kayes told <strong>The Crime<\/strong>, &#8220;Paddy harvesting has started in Rangunia. Already about 10 percent of paddy has been harvested. This time too the production of paddy will exceed the record as always<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Atiq Ullah, Deputy Director, Directorate of Agriculture Extension, Chittagong, told <strong>The Crime<\/strong> that hybrid boro rice yield has been good in the whole of Chittagong, including Gumai Bill.
