Entertainment Desk:<\/strong> On the day of Qurbani Eid in 1998, the world television premiere of the Bangladesh-India joint production movie ‘Sudden Rain’ took place. After that, it was released in cinemas and did record business. The film starred actor Ferdous in the lead role, making him hit the headlines. Priyanka Trivedi and Srilekha Mitra, two heroines from opposite Bengal, debuted opposite him. Not only that, Nachiketa Chakraborty directed the music of a movie for the first time with a sudden rain. Sudden rain brought a wind of change to Bengali cinema. Apart from record business, the movie also garnered critical acclaim. In 1998, the National Film Awards were given in only two categories. Both awards were held in sudden rain. Ferdous Ahmed won the best actor award, and Akhtar Hossain won the cinematographer award. It has been 25 years since the movie was released.<\/p>\n

The producer of the movie Habibur Rahman Khan is going to publish a book on the occasion of the 25th anniversary. The title of the book has not been decided yet. It is planned to be released after the upcoming Eid al-Adha. Chhatku Ahmed has written and supervised the book. Ferdous Ahmed, Priyanka, Srilekha Mitra, Nachiketa, and almost all the film crew’s memoirs will appear in the book. Written by his daughter Rupali Guha on behalf of filmmaker Vasudev Chatterjee’s family.<\/p>\n

Those who have written about the movie will also commemorate its release. Several stars from both Bengals also wrote about the sudden rain. Among them are Rituparna, Purnima, Shamim Ara Nipa, Shibli Mohammad, and others. Ferdous, who played the role of Ajit in Sudden Barshi, said that apart from the release of the book, a reunion with the film crew is being planned.
