Today, his condition is the same as yesterday. But after the treatment given, there has been some improvement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital on Saturday evening on the advice of the medical board. There, he is undergoing treatment under the supervision of Professor Sahabuddin Talukdar. A medical board of specialist doctors headed by Professor Sahabuddin is already involved in the BNP leader&#8217;s treatment. Professor Zahid also said that the members of the medical board held a meeting after he was admitted to the hospital on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Dr. Zahid said that after the madam was admitted to the hospital, several tests were done on the advice of the medical board. Reports of those tests have started coming in. The medical board will sit sometime today (Sunday) evening and review the reports and determine the next step of treatment. However, initially, the medical board met yesterday and took the necessary measures. This morning, some members of the board also checked his physical condition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">In response to a question, Professor Zahid Hossain said, &#8220;He had some illness.&#8221; Some symptoms appeared. For which he was admitted to the hospital. Accordingly, he is being treated here, and he is responding fairly well to that treatment. On the question of how many days Khaleda Zia may have to stay in the hospital, Zahid Hossain said it will depend on the decision of the medical board and her physical condition. So nothing can be said at the moment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">78-year-old Khaleda Zia has been suffering from arthritis, polyuria (diabetes), kidney complications, and liver disease for a long time. Since contracting COVID in April 2021, he has had to be treated in the hospital several times for various ailments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">After being admitted to the hospital last year, the doctors of the medical board informed him that he was suffering from bleeding in the digestive system and cirrhosis of the liver. After returning from Seva Hospital, he was being treated under the close observation of doctors at Basa Feroza in Gulshan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">When asked what kind of illness Khaleda Zia is suffering from now, AZM Zahid Hossain said that it is not right to talk about the patient&#8217;s illness in the media. It can only be stated that some of his physical ailments\u2014his heart complications, his liver complications, his kidney complications\u2014were or are. you know Some of them grew a little, so he was admitted to the hospital for a checkup and treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">He is in the cabin. Professor Zahid said that Tariq Rahman and Zobaida Rahman from London are always keeping track.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">On February 8, 2018, former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia went to jail with a five-year sentence in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case. In October of that year, the sentence was increased to 10 years after hearing the appeal in the High Court. After that, the BNP leader was sentenced to another seven years in the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case. He was still in the Nazimuddin Road jail in Old Dhaka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">In 2020, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina exercised her executive powers to suspend Khaleda&#8217;s sentence for six months following the outbreak of coronavirus in the country. Khaleda Zia has been living in her home in Gulshan since her release on March 25 of that year.
