Madaripur Correspondent:<\/strong> Miscreants created panic in the area by leaving a fake time bomb in a kitchen in the dark of night in Kalkini, Madaripur. The Ramzanpur area of the upazila became depopulated due to fear. The fake time bomb was recovered with the help of police on Tuesday (April 11) afternoon.<\/p>\n

According to Kalkini police sources, in the early hours of Tuesday (April 11), miscreants planted a fake time bomb in Sabuj Chowkidar’s kitchen.In the morning, Sabina Begum, the wife of Sabuj Chowkidar, screamed when she saw the time bomb while working in the kitchen. Later, hearing his screams, the locals rushed to get the bomb and ran away to a safe place in fear. When this news spread, the entire area became deserted due to fear and panic.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kalkini Police Station Shamim Hossain said that on receiving the information, Kalkini Police Station surrounded the entire house for security reasons. Later on Tuesday afternoon, a bomb disposal team came from Dhaka with the help of police and recovered the time bomb in the presence of Additional Superintendent of Police Alaul Hossain. The bomb was later found to be fake.<\/p>\n

Sabina Begum, the wife of the victim, Sabuj Chowkidar, said, “I cannot say who did this in the dark of night.” However, this incident has left our area. I seek the intervention of the legal administration.<\/p>\n

Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) said Alaul Hasan said, “We brought a ‘bomb disposal’ team from Dhaka and tested it, and we found that miscreants made a fake time bomb in the dark of night by fitting some pipes, gum, pencil batteries, cable wires, some matches, and a clock. Kept getting in the kitchen. Actually, they did it to create panic in the area. We will investigate and take legal action.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
