Dhaka Bureau:<\/strong> On April 24, the newly elected president took office. Sahabuddin will take the oath. Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury will read the oath to him at 11 o’clock that day.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the Cabinet Secretary met the Speaker at his office in Sangsad Bhawan. Mahbub Hossain.<\/p>\n

According to the notification of the Parliament Secretariat, during the meeting, the Cabinet Secretary informed the Speaker about the date and time of the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected President.<\/p>\n

Two-time president. Abdul Hamid’s successor, Sahabuddin, will be the 22nd President of Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

President Abdul Hamid’s term will end on April 23. The next day, Sahabuddin will take oath as the new president at Bangabhaban.<\/p>\n

Preparations are underway for this event. The Cabinet Division will organize the swearing-in ceremony.<\/p>\n

Awami League candidate Sahabuddin was elected unopposed in the presidential election on February 12.<\/p>\n

Abdul Hamid was sworn in for the second term as president on April 24, 2018. He is the only one in Bangladesh to have served as head of state for two full terms.<\/p>\n
