International Desk:<\/strong> China’s three-day war exercise has recently ended. Still, naval warships and warplanes remain in the waters around Taiwan. The Ministry of Defense of Taiwan reported such information on Tuesday. Tsai Ing-wen, president of the self-governing island, also criticized Beijing’s “irresponsible” behavior.<\/p>\n

China started the grand tour on Saturday after Sai returned to Taipei after meeting with US House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Warned the US not to allow Syke to visit or meet with McCarthy. China has openly stated that it will use force if necessary to bring democratic Taiwan under Beijing’s control. Beijing considers Taiwan a breakaway province.<\/p>\n

However, Taiwan’s government has been strongly opposing China’s claim. China announced on Monday night that its three-day military exercise had ended. But Taiwan’s defense ministry said as of late Tuesday morning, nine Chinese warships and 26 aircraft, including J-16 and Su-30 fighter jets, were still patrolling around their island in combat readiness.<\/p>\n

Taiwan’s air force, navy, and shore-based missile crews are closely monitoring the situation and responding, the ministry said. Taiwan’s government has repeatedly condemned China’s drills but has said it will not do anything to fuel tensions.<\/p>\n

“As President, I represent my country to the world,” Sai wrote on his Facebook page at midnight on Monday. However, China used it to launch military exercises, destabilizing Taiwan and the region. This is not responsible behavior for an important country in the region.”<\/p>\n

So his trip abroad, including a stopover in the United States, is nothing new, and the people of Taiwan expect it.<\/p>\n

China exercises precision strikes and blockades against Taiwan by sending dozens of fighter jets and bombers to the exercise. Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said 91 Chinese military aircraft flew over the island in the operation on Monday.<\/p>\n

Taiwan’s state-run news agency, CNA, said it was a record. However, the island’s defense ministry could not confirm it.<\/p>\n

The ministry released a map on Monday showing Chinese aircraft crossing the northern and central areas of the demarcation line that normally serves as the unofficial water boundary between the two sides.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
