In the newspaper report, it is mentioned that the child Zakir Hossain said, “If you don’t get rice in your stomach, what will you do with freedom?” When you go to the market, you sweat. We want fish, meat, and freedom of choice.<\/p>\n

The news went viral on social media. The news was shared by thousands of people in the country and abroad, along with screenshots on their social media. In this incident, on the great independence day of Bangladesh, adverse reactions were created in the outside world, including among the people of Bangladesh with the golden and glorious image of Bangladesh. As this news was published on the day of the great Independence Day celebration, discussion and criticism started about the image of the country and the achievement of independence worldwide.<\/p>\n

It is further stated in the complaint of the case that later in the news published on Ekatar TV, Prothom Alo Patrika deliberately presented the news with false identities and false quotes. The child mentioned in Prothom Alo’s report has been misinformed. Name-identity is incorrectly represented. The newspaper said the child’s name is Zakir Hossain. But the search shows that the child’s name is Sabuj Ahmed. His house is in the Kurgaon neighborhood of Savar police station. His father is a mason. Among the three children of Munni Begum, the youngest is Sabuj. According to Prothom Alo’s information, he is a day laborer. But seven-year-old Sabuj Ahmed studies in the first grade and occasionally sells flowers after school.<\/p>\n

It is also said in the declaration that the Prothom Alo news prepared by Shamsuzzaman said, ‘If you don’t get rice in your stomach, what will you do with freedom? When you go to the market, you sweat. We want fish, meat, and freedom of choice. Actually, the child said no such thing. The child said that the Prothom Alo journalist took this photo with 10 taka in the child’s hand. It is proved that, on Bangladesh Independence Day, this fake news was created, served, and spread globally through online and social media to spoil the image of the government under the influence of an evil cycle to create confusion in the public mind about the country’s independence and liberation war and to question the achievements of Bangladesh. As a result, the law and order situation in the country is likely to deteriorate.<\/p>\n

Earlier, on March 29, Syed Md. and a plaintiff named Golam Kibria filed a case under the Digital Security Act against journalist Shamsuzzaman at the Tejgaon police station of the DMP.<\/p>\n
