There is still no option but to send passengers who are victims of accidents on the highway to Dhaka. Due to this, many accident victims are dying without getting timely treatment.<br style=\"color: #252525;\" \/>\u00a0<br style=\"color: #252525;\" \/>Local residents and highway commuters have demanded that the trauma center built should be opened quickly in the interest of the public.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Those concerned said that the trauma center has been built in the Sanyasirchar area of Shivchar on the expressway from Jatrabari in Dhaka to Bhanga in Faridpur. Health Minister Zahid Malek inaugurated the Elias Ahmed Chowdhury Trauma Center at a cost of around Tk 12 crore in November last year. But till now, the center has not started.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Locals complain that it is not possible to treat the injured in the accident on the highway. In this case, they are taken to Upazila Health Complex or Dhaka Medical. Many patients died in the middle of it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Locals said that 20 people were killed in a passenger bus accident in Qutubpur on the morning of March 19. Many were injured. If the trauma center was operational, it would have been possible to treat the injured quickly. Maybe some of the injured would have survived.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Local resident Zainal Moral said that a beautiful health care donation center has been built and even inaugurated by spending crores of rupees. But it is not launching. I demand it be launched soon.<br style=\"color: #252525;\" \/>\u00a0<br style=\"color: #252525;\" \/>The passengers on that highway said that they travel to the capital, Dhaka, through this highway constantly. But if someone is injured in an accident, there is no place to provide immediate treatment. If a trauma center is opened soon, many lives will be lost. The health department and concerned authorities should implement it as soon as possible in the public interest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Civil surgeon of the district. Munir Ahmed Khan said that the trauma center built at a cost of Tk 11 crore 96 lakh is supposed to have 34 positions, including two resident medical officers, 14 doctors, 10 nurses, and pharmacist-technicians, but no positions have been appointed yet. However, a letter has been given to the relevant branch, including the ministry, to start it.
