Own Correspondent:<\/strong> Sedition and defamation cases have been filed against Satkania Upazila Chairman and Upazila Awami League President MA Motaleb for paying tribute to the portrait of Bangabandhu by wearing shoes in Chittagong.<\/p>\n

Chittagong Chief Judicial Magistrate Kamrun Nahar filed this case in Rumi’s court on Monday afternoon. A lawyer named Kamal Uddin<\/p>\n

The lawyer in the case, Advocate Abdul Gafur Talukder, told the media that MA Motaleb had dishonored and disrespected Bangabandhu by placing flowers on the portrait of Bangabandhu with his shoes. A case of treason and defamation has been filed against him. He said that the court has kept the case on order after the hearing.<\/p>\n

He also said that the Awami League paid tribute to the temporary portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman installed at the Satkania upazila office at around 9 a.m. on March 7. At that time, MA Motaleb deliberately put flowers on his shoes. Bangabandhu has been dishonored and dishonoured.
