Gazipur, Rajshahi, Barisal, Sylhet, and Khulna City Corporation elections will be held in three phases before Eid-ul-Azha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">After the meeting of the Election Commission on Wednesday (March 15), in a briefing, the EC Secretary announced the policy decisions of the meeting. Jahangir Alam. CEC Kazi Habibul Awal presided over this meeting in the Agargaon election building this morning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">EC secretary at the end of the meeting. Jahangir Alam said that five cities will vote by June 29. I will tell you later when it will be. We will hold elections between May and June. The HSC exam will likely be on July 7. For that, a preliminary decision has been made to hold voting in five cities in three phases between May 23 and June 29 after the SSC examination.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">He said that the five-city elections should be held before the parliamentary elections. Preliminary discussions have been held; after the holy month of Ramadan next April, the SSC exam will be held until May 23, and Eid-ul-Azha will be held on July 29.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The secretary said that it has been decided that we will organize the election of these five city corporations in the interim period before Eid ul-Azha and after the SSC examination. The exact date and time of the schedule will be announced later.He also mentioned that the schedule would be announced in the middle of April.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The schedule will be announced by April, considering the tenure. In that case, all the elections will be done by EVM.
