On Thursday (March 9), Judge Sheikh Hafizur Rahman of Dhaka&#8217;s Special Judge&#8217;s Court-9 fixed the day by granting the defendant&#8217;s application.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Khaleda Zia&#8217;s lawyer, Azizur Rahman Dulu, said that the case was scheduled for hearing today. A few days ago, we applied for some documents required for the case on behalf of Khaleda Zia. Recently, we got a photocopy of that paper. Here is our objection. We asked for a certified copy, but a photocopy was given by the court. But giving this photocopy away is illegal. The photocopy was given to us by mistake without understanding from the court. Recently, the High Court has given instructions that photocopies cannot be given. And by giving illegally 15 thousand photocopies, the government lost 30 thousand taka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">He said we would consider the matter and apply for the certified copy. The court has assured us that a certified copy will be given. And it takes time to read 30 thousand pages. That&#8217;s why we ask for time. The court granted the application on time. Agami fixed the next date of hearing for March 19.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, Masood Ahmed Talukder appeared on behalf of Khaleda Zia. Khaleda Zia&#8217;s lawyer, Hannan Bhuiyan, gave this information.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">It should be noted that the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a case against Khaleda Zia at the Tejgaon police station on December 9, 2007. After investigating the case, on May 5, 2008, a charge sheet was filed in court against 11 people, including Khaleda Zia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Among the other defendants in the case are the then Chief Secretary Kamal Uddin Siddiqui, Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Khandkar Shahidul Islam, former Senior Assistant Secretary CM Yusuf Hossain, former General Manager of BAPEX Mir Moinul Haque, former Secretary of BAPEX Md.
