On Monday (March 6) at around 1 a.m., Maulvi Yasin was shot dead in front of the shed of Block-C\/3 of the camp by miscreants who hacked him to death. This information was confirmed by the OC of Ukhia police station, Sheikh Mohammad Ali. The slain Rohingya leader Noor Habi alias Waqqas Rafiq was the leader (Majhi) of Camp No. 9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">OC Sheikh Mohammad Ali said that a group of 25 to 30 masked miscreants suddenly shot and hacked the Rohingya leader and ran away. He was rescued and taken to a hospital run by the NGO IOM, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. The body has been recovered and sent to the Cox&#8217;s Bazar District Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The OC also said that the reason for the murder was not immediately known.
