The British Prime Minister and EU Commission President may announce the understanding in London on Monday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The dark shadow of Brexit is not going away on the economy of Britain and the unity of the state. After leaving the European Union in 2020, Britain faces multiple crises as its most important market falls out of reach. Moreover, instead of improving relations with the EU, the tension surrounding the Brexit deal is also damaging for the country. A summit is being held in London on Monday to defuse tensions over the Northern Ireland Protocol to the deal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen are likely to announce a new understanding on Monday to resolve the Brexit dispute. But even if successful, doubts remain over whether the measure can break the stalemate in Northern Ireland and placate critics in Britain. After discussions with von der Leyen, the British Prime Minister may call a special meeting of the Cabinet to finalize the matter. Then the two leaders can announce the success in a joint press conference. It is heard that Sunak will speak about it in the British Parliament. However, it is heard that the government is not taking any initiative to vote on the issue in the parliament.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a hint of a final understanding, the British Prime Minister&#8217;s Office said that Rishi Sunak wants to eliminate all the problems that are currently occurring in the movement of goods between Northern Ireland and the British mainland. Moreover, he is also taking the initiative to return the sovereignty to the people of the province by strengthening the position of Northern Ireland within the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Due to the current crisis in Britain, Sunak&#8217;s Tory party is cornered in the political arena. The opposition Labor Party is far ahead in opinion polls. The prime minister wants to narrow that gap by highlighting the revision of the Brexit deal as a success. However, even if some real problems have been resolved through an understanding with the EU, doubts remain as to whether Northern Ireland&#8217;s pro-Britain DUP party will return to the political process of power sharing. The group&#8217;s anger over the fact that Northern Ireland remains effectively part of the EU&#8217;s single market under the Brexit deal and the gap with mainland Britain remains undiminished.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If the political impasse in Northern Ireland is not resolved, the fear of rebellion in the anti-European part of the prime minister&#8217;s Tory party cannot be ruled out.
