International Desk:<\/strong> An arrest warrant has been issued against Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah. An anti-terrorism court in Gujranwala issued the warrant. The Express Tribune reported this information with reference to the country’s media.<\/p>\n

According to the report, the court issued this order against Rana Sanaullah on Friday, February 24. Justice Rana Zahid issued a bailable arrest warrant.<\/p>\n

On August 5, 2022, Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) leader Shahkaz Aslam filed a case against Minister Rana Sanaullah at Shilpa police station. The case alleged that the minister had threatened the then-Chief Secretary of Punjab and his family members.<\/p>\n

It is also alleged that Rana Sanaullah has threatened the country’s judiciary and government officials in several public meetings. After that case, the Gujranwala court accepted the case yesterday. The anti-terrorism court in Gujranwala dismissed the police report yesterday.<\/p>\n

The police have been ordered to produce Rana Sanaullah in court on March 7. At the beginning of the hearing, the police submitted the final report of the case to the court, omitting the name of the minister. The judge, however, rejected the report.<\/p>\n

The judge also issued notices to the Gujranwala SP (Investigation), the Deputy Superintendent of Police, and the investigating officer. Besides, the court ordered the law and order forces to arrest the home minister and produce him before the court by March 7.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
