On Sunday, February 12, at 11 o&#8217;clock, Sahabuddin&#8217;s nomination papers were submitted to the Election Commission for the post of president.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">A delegation led by Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader went to Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal&#8217;s office and submitted nomination papers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Incidentally, due to the absolute majority in the National Parliament, whoever the ruling Awami League nominates as president will be elected as the next president. In addition, the anti-government BNP does not even have a member of parliament. Although the Jatiya Party is an opposition party, it acts as an ally of the government on major policy issues.
