The basic industrial city of Gaibandhar could not stand here even after 27 years of establishment. Due to inefficiency, bureaucratic complexity, political influence, investment, a lack of science-based planning, and corruption, the people of this district did not get any benefit from the institution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">It is known that no industrial plant has been built on 35 percent of the plots allotted in Gaibandha Bisik Industrial City. The plots here have been occupied with allotments in the name of industry. Although there are entrepreneurs interested in small-scale industries, since the plots are not vacant, the BSIC authorities have not thought of building new units there. As a result, new small-scale industry entrepreneurs are losing interest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">According to BCIC information, BCIC Industrial City was built in 1996 on 15 acres of land in the Dhangara area of Gaibandha city. On 105 plots of land, 50 industrial units have been built.All plots here are allotted. Out of 50 industrial units, only 34 are operational. The owners of the remaining 16 plots were repeatedly urged to start the factory, but it was not possible to do so.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">BCIC plots are basically leased for 99 years. Entrepreneurs can pay the entire amount of the plot lease at one time if they want. You can also pay half in cash and the rest in 10 installments over 5 years. Even if it is a 99-year lease, BSIC can cancel the contract if any condition is violated. However, those who get allocations are very influential, so in most cases, the BSIC is not able to take action.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">1700 to 1800 workers can work every day if all the factories in Gaibandha Industrial City are operational. Currently, 800 workers are working in this industrial city every day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">On the ground, almost all of the factories in the allotted industrial units are closed, with the exception of 5 or 6 mustard oil mills.A few industrial plants are operating intermittently. The owners later closed it as they liked.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Gaibandha BC has no walls. As a result, anyone can access BC at any time. The pitch of the inner roads has long been raised.As a result, holes have formed in many places, even during the dry season. The authorities have taken no initiative to reform them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Entrepreneurs said that after getting the allocation to build feasible small industrial units in Gaibandha Bisik Industrial City, it will be possible to reduce unemployment in the region by canceling the lease of the unused plots and re-allocating them. Therefore, interested entrepreneurs in the district are calling on the government to cancel the lease of the plots.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Entrepreneur Shafiqul Islam said, &#8220;Many people have been occupying plots since the beginning of BCIC.&#8221; The plot owners are not doing any business either. Due to a lack of space in BC, we new entrepreneurs are unable to manufacture products.We are demanding to re-allocate the plots for which we have not started any factory or business even after getting the allotment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Female entrepreneur Farida Yasmin Shobha said, &#8220;BC should not only be given training but also a place to make products.&#8221; All plots in BCIC have been allotted. Many got plots allotted during the launch of Bisik, but now they have not started factories. I demand that they cancel their lease and allocate plots to new entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Noor Mohammad Babu, a businessman in the city, said, &#8220;If the entrepreneurs fail to set up a factory within a certain period in BSIC Industrial City, the plot allocation must be canceled and it must be given to another entrepreneur.&#8221; can&#8217;t just occupy the space and leave it. Others should be given the opportunity to do business.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Gaibandha BCB Industrial City Officer Suman Mia said, &#8220;There are 34 factories in this industrial city.&#8221; But these are also sometimes closed. Many factories have closed due to the economic crisis. If the factory is open, the workers have to be paid. That is why the owners closed the factory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Rabin Chandra Roy, assistant general manager of Gaibandha BCIC, said, &#8220;Action will be taken against those who are not carrying out any activities regarding the allotment of industrial plots.&#8221; In the past several times, letters have been sent to the owners who have been left out after the allotment of plots to start factories.
