{"id":3879,"date":"2023-02-09T03:37:31","date_gmt":"2023-02-09T03:37:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/?p=3879"},"modified":"2023-02-09T03:49:16","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T03:49:16","slug":"3879","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/news\/3879\/","title":{"rendered":"Bangladesh rescue team in Turkey led by the army"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><strong>Dhaka Bureau:<\/strong> A special rescue team led by the Bangladesh Army has left Dhaka for Turkey for post-earthquake rescue operations and assistance.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The team consists of a medium rescue team of 24 from the army, a medical team of 10 and 12 members from the fire service and civil defence.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This information was disclosed in the press release of Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate-ISPR on Wednesday (February 8) night.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">On February 6, a terrible earthquake struck Syria and Turkey.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The sudden earthquake has caused massive loss of life, destruction of structures and damage to civil facilities in the respective areas.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">According to ISPR, the Turkish government requested the Bangladesh government to help in post-earthquake rescue work.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In that context, under the guidance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a special rescue team of 46 members led by the army left Dhaka for Turkey in an Air Force C-130 aircraft to provide rescue work and medical facilities in Gaziantep Province, the most affected area of Turkey.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In light of International Search and Rescue Advisor Group (INSARAG) guidelines, a 36-member urban search and rescue team comprising 24 army personnel and 12 fire service and civil defense personnel has moved with necessary equipment.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Also, two medical teams of 10 members of the army, including specialist doctors, have gone to provide emergency medical care with necessary medicines and medical equipment.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The Turkish government has sincerely thanked the Bangladesh government for this step.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">ISPR has also mentioned that such cooperative activities between the Bangladesh Army and the Turkish Armed Forces will continue in the future.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dhaka Bureau: A special rescue team led by the Bangladesh Army has left Dhaka for Turkey for post-earthquake rescue operations and assistance.
