Today Friday (February 03) in the Supreme Court Lawyers Association premises of the capital Dhaka, Bangladesh National Parliament Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury MP said these things.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said, legal assistants have been showing efficiency and experience for a long time in solving legal problems.<br \/>\nPresident of Bangladesh Lawyers&#8217; Assistant Association Md. Noor Mia presided over the event and general secretary of the association Md. Khorshed Alam read the welcome speech.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dhaka Lawyers Association President Md Mahbubur Rahman, Bangladesh Bar Council Finance Committee Chairman Md Rabiul Alam Budu, Vice Chairman Syed Rezaur Rahman, Bangladesh Supreme Court Lawyers Association General Secretary Md Abdun Noor Dulal and President Md Momtaz Uddin Fakir spoke.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Attorney General A, M, Amin Uddin, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Md Mahbub Ali MP, Railway Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan MP and Law Minister Anisul Haque MP delivered speeches as special guests.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaker Dr. Shireen Sharmin Chowdhury MP said that legal assistants should be able to fulfill their duties through appropriate legal framework and should aim to improve their quality of life. He said that Bangladesh is a role model for development in the world today. To continue this trend of development, a developed and prosperous Smart Bangladesh free from exploitation and discrimination will be formed through the collective efforts of all.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Quoting Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, &#8216;This system of governance is written in the blood of martyrs&#8217;, the speaker said that the constitution of Bangladesh was not obtained through anyone&#8217;s donation, compassion or any treaty-negotiation. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of the father of the nation, is working tirelessly to establish a just society by upholding the rule of law. This constitution will be meaningful only if the benefits of the constitution can be conveyed to everyone by bringing smiles to the faces of the suffering people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said that virtual courts and e-judiciary are being conducted in this era of free flow of information technology. In keeping with the times, legal assistants need to acquire adequate skills in the IT and ICT sector. The speaker expressed hope that legal assistants would make a valuable contribution to building the country, society and nation through the establishment of justice by performing their duties properly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bangladesh Supreme Court Lawyers Association, leaders of Bangladesh Bar Council, learned lawyers, lawyers assistant representatives from different districts, invited guests from India, dignitaries and media workers were present in this grand conference of Lawyers Assistant Association.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dhaka Bureau: Legal assistants are an essential part of the judicial system.
