Because of this, the covid hospital beds in Mohakhali have been ordered to be prepared. The directorate informed this information in a circular today, Friday (03 February).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Health Minister Zahid Malek said in a press conference on the outbreak of Nipah virus in the meeting room of the Ministry of Health in the Secretariat recently that 8 people have been infected with Nipah virus in the current season, five of them have died. The death rate due to this virus is 70 percent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nHealth Minister Zaheed Malek said that this disease is caused by eating raw juice and fruits eaten by birds. Bats carry this virus. When bats drink palm juice, it happens when humans drink it. Spreads rapidly through contact with sick people. Multiple infections then occur. We have taken steps to make people aware of this virus. We made the TVC. Infections are being treated in a separate unit in the hospital.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to IEDCR, Nipah virus was first detected in the country in 2001 in Meherpur. Then in 2003 Naogaon. However, its biggest outbreak occurred in 2004 in Faridpur district.
