Muntakim Prakash Mostakim.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mostakim sent the application by post and e-mail to the registry on Monday afternoon. The same petition has also been sent to the Home Minister, Home Secretary, Inspector General of Police (IGP), National Human Rights Commission and Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Victim Mostakim said, &#8220;I protested to reduce the kidney dialysis fee to save my mother. I am not a terrorist or a gangster. But Panchlaish police station OC Nazim Uddin killed me on the spot for no reason. Took him to the police station and tortured him. They sent me to jail with a false case. My honor has been undermined by this. I have appealed to the Prime Minister for justice. I hope the Prime Minister will judge him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier this month, Chamek Hospital patients and their relatives staged a protest against the increase in dialysis fees. Protesters blocked the road in front of Chamek&#8217;s main gate on January 10 as part of the days-long protest. Police reached the spot and asked the protesters to leave the road. But the agitators announced not to leave the road. Panchlaish police station OC Nazim Uddin got excited at one stage of the argument. He took out his cellphone and videoed the protesters and warned them that he would check on them later. Then all at once started uproar against the OC and demanded to delete the video. At one point, OC&#8217;s mobile fell on the ground and broke. OC Nazim then took Mostakim to Epic Hospital opposite the main gate of Chamek to beat him.
