The government is providing 50-70 percent subsidy on agricultural machinery. Bangladesh will need a lot of agricultural machinery in the future. In this regard, there are many opportunities for Indian agricultural machinery manufacturers to invest in Bangladesh. These companies can locally manufacture and assemble agricultural machinery and retail machinery by setting up their factories in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n India’s ambassador to Dhaka, Pranay Verma, said that initiatives will be taken to encourage Indian Mahindra and other agricultural machinery manufacturers to set up their factories in Bangladesh and invest locally in the production of agricultural machinery and assembly and retail machinery. Besides, he expressed interest in the MoU for increasing cooperation between agricultural research institutes of the two countries.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Agriculture Minister sought India’s cooperation for summer onion seeds and jute seeds.<\/p>\n He said, this year, by bringing summer onion seeds from India’s Maharashtra and cultivating them in the country, a good yield was obtained.
