The minister gave this information in response to a question from journalists after inaugurating a workshop for subordinate court judges at the Judicial Administration Training Institute in the capital on Wednesday (January 4).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The law minister said that the government has no plans to amend the constitution so far. The President will be elected at the appointed time. Since he (Abdul Hamid) has stayed for two terms, he cannot stay any longer as per the constitution. So a new one will be elected.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regarding the bail of senior BNP leaders, Anisul Haque said that the law ministry is certainly not interfering with the work of the court, no ministry is interfering. If the court thinks that bail can be granted, it will be granted. If the court thinks it can&#8217;t be given, don&#8217;t give it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The law minister also said that it often happens that the lower court does not grant bail, the higher court does. It also happens that the lower court has given bail, the higher court has blocked it. This is nothing new in Bangladesh.
