Dhaka Bureau:<\/strong> Party president Sheikh Hasina has ordered Awami League leaders and activists across the country to take a cautious position in the neighborhood. He said, ‘I have only been beaten for twenty-one years. From 2001 to 2008 I was beaten only. Now the hand with which he will hit, that hand must be broken.<\/p>\n

Reminiscing the image of BNP’s arson, Sheikh Hasina said, ‘The hand that comes to set fire to people, that hand should be burnt in fire. The pain of burning should be explained to them.<\/p>\n

“Seeing the condition of the burnt people still brings tears to my eyes. The mother saw her husband and children burning in front of her eyes. What is their forgiveness, they have no more forgiveness, he said.<\/p>\n

Sheikh said these things through video conference from Ganobhaban at the joint meeting of presidents, general secretaries and mayors of Dhaka Metropolitan North-South Awami League and affiliated organizations with the party’s editorial board at the Awami League’s central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital at noon on Thursday (December 8). Hasina<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister said, “They will strike again and again, and we will sit quietly, that day is no more.” Why did I sit silent for so long, we want to take Bangladesh to a level, that’s why. Today the country has achieved. So today we will not let people play with the fate of Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

At this time, he ordered the local leaders and activists to stay in the field, he said, ‘arson, murder, money laundering should be resisted. It will not be allowed to destroy the peace of the people of Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

“Everyone will be ready, no harm can be done to any people of Bangladesh. Tell everyone, let them also protest. They have caused a lot of pain before. We have endured a lot. In this way, my farmers and workers, our leaders and activists – there is no forgiveness if you lay your hands on anyone.’<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said, ‘how they (BNP) have committed torture, it should be highlighted. The misdeeds of BNP should be highlighted. Our leaders and activists who have been beaten by BNP, should not sit down. People should be told what they can do, what they do. You can’t sit down and get beaten up, that’s right.<\/p>\n

It is clear that the arsonists and anti-independence activists cannot be allowed to come to power. Will they overthrow us? They came from the pocket, and will remain in the pocket. Democracy does not suit them. This time no more BRTC buses can be burnt. What can be burned, now everyone has a camera in their hands, whoever sets fire after seeing the video footage, that hand must be burned immediately. I never said it, now I will say it. There is no time to beat.<\/p>\n

President of Awami League said, “Immediately after the 2001 election, everyone occupied the house and cut the pond overnight and made a banana garden.” Brutally tortured the girls. From a six-year-old girl to a 60-year-old man did not escape from them. That Purnima, from Fahima to the whole of Bangladesh, how many names, everyone had to be treated. Many did not reveal their names out of shame. Awami League has the power to respond to the tyranny of our leaders and activists in 2001, after we came to power in 2009. Where did we not do it? We did not torture them like this.<\/p>\n

In 2013, 14, 15, they started burning to death. We are working towards the development of Bangladesh. I did it very successfully. Says in a very loud voice – the three-time prime minister. Have they managed to implement any of their manifestos? Could not implement. This is the reality.<\/p>\n

Dismissing the threat of BNP’s government collapse, Sheikh Hasina said, ‘Awami League did not emerge, Awami League is an organization of soil and people. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu’s own organization. Where was the birth of BNP? Ziaur Rahman’s Kurdi in his pocket. Organizations with paper out of pocket. Awami League is not an organization in anyone’s pocket. They should bear this in mind. Pocket organizations, that’s why they have no roots in the soil.<\/p>\n

“They are like golden vines, those who climb the tree eat the tree, this is BNP. The tree on which the golden vine grows, bears no fruit. BNP rose over the country, devoured the country. After Awami League came, the country has improved. Because, to improve, you need to have a mindset. Awami League has come to give people.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister said, ‘Bangladesh will go backward again if BNP-Jamaat comes to power. There will be no developing country, it will become a less developed country. People should understand that. Those of us who are attached only see the bad side of Bangladesh. They have to make it clear that BNP does not have that capability and plan. No thoughts, no principles, no ideals. They have in mind, killing people, looting money, money laundering, that’s all they can do. Awami League was born from the soil and people of this country for the realization of people’s rights. That is why we have a responsibility to the people of this country.<\/p>\n

To come to power, BNP is protesting to foreign organizations, he said, “By protesting to other countries… Yes, once they succeeded with a sit-in in 2001. Still thinking, that can do. There is a saying in Bengali – the stem does not bloom. If you give it in advance, that branch will not bloom. It is understandable, they do not know. Not now. We also know what to do.<\/p>\n
