The elite leader died on December 5, 1963 in a hotel room in Beirut, Lebanon. His tomb is in the shrine of the three leaders next to the High Court of Dhaka. He was a liberal and wise political figure, Chief Minister of undivided Bengal and then Prime Minister of Pakistan. Various political and social organizations are holding various programs on his death anniversary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to Suhrawardy on his death anniversary. The Prime Minister said, &#8220;The life and ideals of Hossain Shaheed Suhrawardy always give us courage and motivation for the progress of democracy and the welfare of people.&#8221; Nation will always remember the contribution of this great leader with respect. As a talented political organizer, the people&#8217;s organization Bangladesh Awami League developed under his skillful management. The visionary leadership of his worthy successor, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, united the Bengali nation against the oppression of the Pakistani government.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy led the movement of the peaceful democratic people of Pakistan against the military dictatorship of Pakistan. After the establishment of Pakistan in 1947, he played a protest role against the dictatorship of the Muslim League government. Shaheed Suhrawardy organized the people of this country against the anti-people activities of the then Pakistani government. Not only a political leader, he was also a visionary statesman. It was through his efforts that the first constitution of Pakistan was drafted. After the language movement of 1952, the nationalist spirit of Bengali emerged; He was led by Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy. His political foresight resulted in a memorable victory for the United Front in the 1954 elections. Due to his respect for democratic norms and public opinion, Sudhi Samaj called him the &#8216;Mansaputra of Democracy&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He was born on September 8, 1892 in a noble Muslim family in Medinipur, present-day West Bengal. He was the youngest child of Justice Sir Zahid Suhrawardy. After starting his education at Calcutta Aliya Madrasa, he joined St. Xavier&#8217;s College, Calcutta. Later, he obtained a master&#8217;s degree in Arabic language and literature from Calcutta University. He graduated with honors in science from Oxford University, UK. He also studied law there and obtained a BCL degree. Graduated from Grace Inn in 1918 with Bar at Law degree. Then he returned to Calcutta in 1921 and engaged in the legal profession. He married Begum Neyaz Fatema in 1920.
