He said this at the public meeting of Awami League at Chittagong polo ground on Sunday (December 4) afternoon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Prime Minister said, Khaleda Zia came to power by stealing votes in 1996, people did not accept her because she came to power by stealing votes. People do not accept stealing votes. They want to come to power by stealing votes. They do not like the democratic system. The country is moving forward because there has been democracy for a long time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said, I have brought a gift for you in the month of victory. 29 projects have been implemented. These are my gifts to the people of Chittagong in the month of victory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also said that December 10 is a very favorite date of BNP, that is why they have decided to hold a rally in Dhaka on that day. He said that on December 10 they will paralyze Dhaka. On December 10, 1971, the mission to kill intellectuals began in this country. On December 10, journalist Sirajuddin Hossain and several intellectuals were captured by the Pakistanis. Later they were killed. That is, on this day, the mission to kill intellectuals began. That is why this date is so dear to BNP.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, before the start of Awami League&#8217;s public meeting at Polo Ground in Chittagong, the meeting place was filled to the brim with the presence of leaders, activists and supporters. Beyond the public meeting premises, people also poured into the surrounding areas. Awami League president Sheikh Hasina joined this historic public meeting as the chief guest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At 12:30 pm, the public meeting started on the boat-shaped stage built in the polo ground. The Prime Minister attended the public meeting at 3 pm. After almost 11 years, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina&#8217;s public meeting is being held at Chittagong polo ground.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There has been enthusiasm among the leaders and activists of the Awami League, its affiliates and affiliated organizations, and fraternal organizations in Chittagong for some time around the Prime Minister&#8217;s public meeting. Since morning, thousands of leaders and activists from the upazilas started coming towards the ground in various vehicles through all the entrances of Chittagong city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the afternoon, it can be seen on the ground that many leaders and activists took a position on the front road without getting a place in the polo ground. The activists were also seen staying in the nearby areas of CRB, Tigerpass, Kadmatoli. Before this, many people arrived in the city on Saturday night as well. Leaders and activists from distant upazilas came to various community centers of the city on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cooked food is also distributed among the activists on Saturday night and Sunday morning on behalf of various leaders. Apart from this, the workers-followers started marching towards the polo ground wearing t-shirts and hats with the names and pictures of the leaders from dawn. It was accompanied by the playing of drums and band parties. They started entering the field dressed in various costumes including national flag, party flag, leader&#8217;s photo, placard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The activists were entering the public meeting grounds chanting slogans in the name of &#8216;Jai Bangla, Jai Bangabandhu&#8217; and Sheikh Hasina. On the occasion of the public meeting, traffic has been stopped for several kilometers around the area.
